This California Privacy Notice (“Notice”) has been created for California Residents supplements the information contained in the Opinionest Privacy Policy, and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively “we”, “us”, “our” or “Opinionest”) and applies to our visitors, users and others who reside or conduct business within the State of California (“consumers” or “you”). We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) and other California privacy laws. Any terms as defined in the CCPA have the same meaning as when we use them in this notice. The effective date of this Privacy Notice is 22nd Oct’2022, and it shall remain in effect until such time as it is amended or withdrawn. Any amendment or change to this Notice will be posted on our website in the same manner as this Notice is.

Personal Information does not include:

How Your Information is Stored and Protected; Retention Periods

Your information is stored in password-protected, encrypted formats. We have developed document retention standards that regulate the length of time we keep records; we will not keep your personal information longer than necessary by these policies.

Response Timing and Format

We endeavour to respond within forty-five (45) days after receiving a verified consumer request. If we require additional time (up to ninety (90) days), we will notify you in writing of the reason and extension term. If you have an account with us, we will send you our response using that account. If you do not have an account with us, we will send you our written response by mail or online, depending on your preference. Any information disclosed shall only pertain to the twelve (12) month period preceding the consumer’s request. If applicable, our response will include an explanation of why we cannot comply with a request. For data portability requests, we shall choose a format to deliver your personal information that is easily usable and should enable you to transmit the data from one entity to another without difficulty.

We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

Other California Privacy Rights

The California “Shine the Light” law gives residents of California the right under certain circumstances to request information from us regarding the manner in which we share certain categories of personal information (as defined in the Shine the Light law) with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Changes to Our Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to amend this Notice at our discretion and at any time. When we make changes to this Notice, we will notify you through a notice on our website homepage. Your continued use of our website following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
