The services are provided by Track Opinion Research Private Limited, on the website www.opinionest.com And mobile application named Opinionest And available at Google Play Store (hereinafter cumulatively referred to as “Platform”) a service of research and polling (hereinafter referred to as “Opinionest”), an Indian company with registered address at 607-608, Tower C, Nirvana Courtyard, Sector 50, Gurugram, Haryana, 122018 All references to “we“, “us“, and “our” and the “Company” shall be construed as reference to Opinionest.

On behalf of Opinionest, we would like to thank you for using our Platform! We take privacy very seriously and we would like to share with you more about our policies on privacy, which we review on a regular basis and update on this page as necessary. We do not make any announcements when we review the policies so you must review this page often to keep yourself updated about any changes or updates to our policies. Be assured that we are not trying to sell or promote anything. We are simply interested in hearing about what you think of products and services, what you are familiar with, what you may use or not use, and the like. No personal information is sought from or about you, without your prior knowledge and agreement.

As a User, you may receive survey invitations to complete surveys hosted by a variety of solely legitimate research suppliers. However, please note that no other entity besides Us will have any access to your personally identifiable data, including your email address. We will communicate with you and collect data only as is reasonable concerning the conduct of research or the administration of panel activities. For example, we require that you answer a number of profile questions prior to joining the panel so that we can provide you with invitations to surveys that are likely going to apply to you. Also, we need to know your address information to be able to process money transfers to you when you reach your preferred points level threshold.

Please note that we conduct marketing research studies using scientific methods and we promise that, in obtaining your cooperation, we will not mislead you about the general nature of the research or the use that will be made of the findings nor regarding the average time we expect that it will take to complete a survey.

When do we collect your information?

We collect your information at the time of signup and each time when a user interacts with our Platform in any manner.

What information do we collect?

The Users gets the choice to decide what information they share with us. The Users can share their name, age, gender, zip code, telephone number and address and we store some of this personal information about you. If you do not wish to share this information with us, you are requested to not submit the information with us at any point.

This stored information pertaining to your age, gender and geographical location alongside the answers you have filled in determines what surveys we invite you to. The aforementioned information will be used to assess whether a user qualifies as the target audience for a particular study. This is done to reduce the chances of inviting users to surveys that would be irrelevant to them.

Your contact information is used to invite you to relevant surveys. Once a User fills in a survey, Opinionest then awards points for participation. Information about surveys a User’s been invited to, accepted and participated in is also stored and then used to award Opinionest points. All your answers to any survey question are never stored under your name. Only your answer is stored, your personal profile link to the answer is not. Your answer cannot be linked back to you or be associated with your personal information.

Every bit of information (about you) stored in our secure network is transparently available under the ‘My Account’ tab on the panel pages. You can review all information from this tab and keep a check on the information we have.

To summarise, We may collect and process the following information about you:

Information such as your name, email address, postal address and telephone number that you provide by registering as a member or user of the Platform or otherwise completing a user profile or other forms via the Platform;
information you upload or submit in relation to any rewards programs that we offer (collectively, “Rewards Programs“);
in connection with an account sign-in facility, your log-in and password details;
communications you send to us, for example to report a problem or to submit queries, concerns or comments regarding the Platform; or
information from surveys that we may, from time to time, present on the Platform for research purposes, whether for ourselves or for third-party research companies, if you choose to respond to, or participate in, them.
your real time geo-location to provide location services where requested or agreed to by you in order to deliver content, advertising or other services that are dependent on knowing where you are. This information may also be collected in combination with an identifier associated with your device to enable us to recognise your mobile browser or device when you return to the Platform.

We collect your information for the purpose of market research. On the basis of the collected information, we send customized surveys to our Users.

How do we store your information?

We may use third-party platforms/servers for storing, processing and/or protecting your information, platform such as Microsoft Azure server, etc. in case we use these platforms, the terms and policies of these platforms shall be applicable, for instance, Microsoft Azure secures and stores the data of individual users from different countries, in servers of their respective local countries, etc. We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected consistent with our obligations. By submitting information via the Platform, you agree to this storing, processing and/or transfer.

How do we share your information?

We are committed to maintaining your trust, and we want you to understand when and with whom we may share the information we collect.

Authorized third-party vendors and service providers. We may share your information with third-party vendors and service-providers that help us with specialized services, including billing, payment processing, customer service, email deployment, business analytics, marketing, advertising, performance monitoring, hosting, and data processing.

How can I opt out from your Services?

You may opt out at any time from allowing further access by us to your location data by adjusting the settings on your mobile device or by following the instructions available on our Platform. You can also stop all location data collection by uninstalling the mobile app, using the standard uninstall processes for your mobile device.

Please note that You are under no obligation to provide any such information. However, if you should choose to withhold requested information, we may not be able to provide you with any services available on or through the Platform (the “Services”).

You can tell us not to contact you with information regarding our Services or the products and services of third parties, or to share your details with third parties so that they can send you information regarding their products and services, either at the point such information is collected on the Platform (by writing to us at help@opinionest.com) or, where you do not wish us to continue to use your information in this way, by following the unsubscribe instructions on any communications sent to you.

Do we use Cookies to track your activity?

When you visit or use the Platform, we may, by means of cookies and/or other similar technologies, automatically collect additional information about you – such as the type of internet browser or mobile device you use, any website from which you have come to the Platform, your IP address (the unique address which identifies your computer or mobile device on the internet) and/or the operating system of your computer or mobile device.

When you visit the Platform, a web server sends a cookie or other similar technology to your computer or mobile device (as the case may be). Cookies are small pieces of information which are issued to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or access or use a mobile application and which store and sometimes track information. Some cookies we use may last only for the duration of your web or application session and expire when you close your browser or exit the Platform. Do we use Google Tools?

Yes. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

The Google service - Google Analytics. Google Analytics owned and runned by Google.Inc is used on our Platforms as a web analytics service tool to determine how users use the Platform. The tool uses cookies or text files generated in a device once a website is used. The data from the cookies is collected and transferred to Google’s servers in the United States. Wherever IP anonymization is enabled, the IP address will be truncated. This is specifically applicable within the European Economic Area. In exceptionally rare cases, before the truncation of the IP address, the entire IP address will be transferred to Google’s server.

The Google service - Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a Google service which acts like a digital code management system. As per the information shared by Google, this tool never accesses data. It creates codes that contain your personal data but as per our understanding, it never overtly collects personal data. Google Tag Manager continues to track all digital tags if it is disabled at the domain or cookie level.

How does our referral program work?

We may, from time to time, run referral programmes or similar initiatives, such as a “Tell a Friend” programme, that invite you to provide us with the contact details of someone who is known to you who may find our products or services to be of interest. We will only use those contact details for the purpose of the relevant initiative (and not for other general marketing purposes). By providing us with their details, you confirm that you have their permission to do so and must not provide us with the details of anyone from whom you do not have such permission. We reserve the right to identify you as the person who has made the referral in any messages that are sent to them.

In the event that we undergo reorganisation or are sold to a third party, you agree that any personal information we hold about you may be transferred to that reorganised entity or third party. Opinionest would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request Opinionest for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Opinionest correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Opinionest to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Opinionest restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

Do we collect information belonging to children?

We try our best not to interview children without first getting the permission of their parents, though we cannot always guarantee this to be the case, particularly in the case of Internet research, if the email client and Internet environment is not secured within the household. We only permit those who are 18 years of age or older to join and participate in our panel. We do not seek to contact minors directly without an appropriate guardian or adult's explicit permission.

For how long do we keep/retain the information?

We retain information till it is necessary to do so in order to provide Services.
